This Privacy Policy applies to the Clean AI iOS app.
Summary
Clean AI is designed to help you review and clean your photo library. Core scanning and categorization features are intended to work on your device using access you grant through Apple's Photos permissions.
We do not use your photo library cleaning workflow as a reason to upload your personal photo and video library to our own servers for analysis. However, the app does use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and subscription management, and those services may receive limited technical or subscription-related data as described below.
Information the app may access or process
Photo library access
If you grant photo access, the app can access your photo library in order to:
- scan for duplicates, similar items, screenshots, blurry photos, and other cleanup categories
- show thumbnails, previews, counts, and cleanup recommendations
- perform deletion or save-back actions that you explicitly trigger
Photo library processing for cleaning features is intended to remain on-device unless a specific feature clearly tells you otherwise.
App preferences and local storage
The app stores certain data locally on your device, such as:
- app settings and preferences
- scan state and app database content stored locally through Realm
- certain secure values stored locally in Keychain where applicable
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app may schedule reminder notifications on your device.
Subscription and purchase data
If you purchase or restore a subscription, the app uses Apple and RevenueCat to manage subscription status, entitlements, and purchase restoration.
Analytics, diagnostics, and technical data
The app currently includes Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, and RevenueCat. These services may receive limited information such as:
- app version, device type, and operating system details
- app events and usage diagnostics
- crash logs and performance-related diagnostics
- subscription status, entitlement state, transaction-related metadata, and device identifiers used by the subscription SDK
- remote configuration fetch requests needed to manage app behavior such as minimum supported version
Third-party services used by the app
Based on the current app configuration, the app may use:
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Remote Config
- RevenueCat
- Apple App Store and StoreKit services
These providers operate under their own privacy terms and policies.
How your data is used
We use data to:
- provide the core cleaning and organization features of the app
- maintain subscriptions and premium access
- improve stability, fix bugs, and understand app performance
- control app behavior and rollout through remote configuration
- send reminders if you enable them
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited technical, subscription, and diagnostic information with the third-party service providers listed above only to the extent needed for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, billing, subscription validation, and related app operations.
Your choices
You can:
- deny or revoke photo access in iOS Settings
- disable notifications in iOS Settings
- manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account subscription settings
- delete content from your photo library using the controls provided by Apple and the app
Data retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app, or clear related content through app or system controls. Third-party providers may retain technical, billing, or diagnostic records according to their own retention policies.
Children's privacy
The app is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use the service without parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest published version should be treated as the current version.
